...Lovely Culottes...
Κυριαρχούν στις πασαρέλες των πιο γνωστών οίκων μόδας. Στην ουσία ειναι φαρδύ, κοντό παντελόνι που φτάνει μέχρι τον αστράγαλο και δινει την ψευδαίσθηση φούστας! Είτε το πιστεύετε είτε οχι, πρωτοεμφανίστηκαν στη Γαλλία, το 18ο αιώνα, ως ανδρικό ένδυμα!!!! Το τάγμα των επαναστατών που εισέβαλε στην Βαστίλη ήταν γνωστό ως “Sans -Culottes”. Τι παράδοξο όμως;! Μετά από τόσα χρόνια, η ζιπ κιλότ να θεωρείται κατεξοχήν φεμινιστικό ρούχο!!!
Οι “Βικτωριανές γυναίκες” είναι υπεύθυνες για την μετατροπή αυτής της παντελόνας σε γυναικεία!!Ήθελαν ένα ρούχο, το οποίο να τους χαρίζει την απαραίτητη άνεση για να ιππεύουν άλογα ή να κάνουν ποδήλατο.. Το φόρεμα δεν ήταν πρακτικό!!!
Πάνω σε αυτή την ιδέα βασίστηκε η γνωστή, πλέον, σχεδιάστρια μόδας Elsa Schiaparelli. Υιοθέτησε αυτό το είδος παντελόνας και το προώθησε στο χώρο της μόδας!! Δεν έλλεψαν, φυσικά, οι αντιδράσεις... Ο βρετανικός τύπος δεν ήταν υπέρμαχος αυτού του ρούχου και υποστήριζε οτι ήταν ανδρικό με “νότες λεσβιανισμού”..
Δεν μπορείτε να πείτε...συγκλονιστική ιστορία! Πως να μην αγαπήσεις αυτό το ρούχο; Η κυκλοφορία του προκάλεσε ποικίλες αντιδράσεις, όμως άντεξε στο χρόνο και γνωστοί οίκοι μόδας το συμπεριέλαβαν στις κολεξιόν τους!! Βέβαια θα μου πεις λογικό!!! Είναι ρούχο, που με τα κατάλληλα αξεσουάρ και παπούτσια, μπορεί να φορεθεί από το πρωί μέχρι το βράδυ... Plus κολακεύει τα περισσότερα γυναικεία σωματα διότι έχει την ιδιότητα να “κρύβει” τις καμπύλες, ενώ ταυτόχρονα τονίζει τη μέση της γυναίκας!!!!
Μπορούν εύκολα να φορεθούν με:
- Πουκάμισο και γόβα ή μποτάκι μέχρι τον αστράγαλο (all time classic-συνδυασμός)
- Κρόπ τόπ και γόβα (για εντυπωσιακές βραδυνές εμφανίσεις)
- Πουλόβερ και ανδρικό παπούτσι (που παραπέμπει σε άνετο και παράλληλα κομψό ντύσιμο για γραφείο)
- Φούτερ και sneakers (για εκείνες που αγαπούν τις oversized επιλόγες)
Συμβουλή μου: τολμήστε να τις φορέσετε!!! Δώστε τη δική σας πινελιά.. Το style είναι προσωπικό θέμα και μην φοβάστε να παίξετε με αυτό!!!

Women of “Victorian era” were responsible for the transformation of these men’s pants to women’s!! They needed a cloth, which would be comfortable enough to let them ride horses or bikes…. Dresses were not practical!!
Based on this idea, the famous fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli adopted this type of pants and promoted it to the fashion world, οf course without lacking of reactions. The British press supported that culottes were a male piece of cloth with “lesbian sense”…
What an amazing story!! How couldn’t anybody love this pant?? Although it’s promotion caused a lot of criticism, it resist through time and today many famous fashion brands include culottes to their collections!! That makes sense!! It is a piece of cloth, which, when combined with the appropriate accessories and shoes, can be worn all day long…. Plus.. It suit to every woman body type, because it “hides” the extra curves and point out the waist.
Culottes can be easily combined with:
- Shirt and high- heels or ankle boots (for an all- time classic combination)
- Crop- tops and high- heels (for impressive night looks)
- Pullovers and “men’s” shoes (for a comfortable and chic office look)
- Sweatshirts and sneakers (for those who love the “oversized” choices)
My advice: Dare to wear it!! Style is a personal matter and don’t be afraid to make your own “little experiments” with culottes…
